I read this story sometime last year and never left feedback for it. I'm a born-and-bred slasher, and I rarely rarely read gen, but somehow I did read this story and LOVED it. You captured something uniquely touching in House and Chase's relationship, and the slow reveal of Chase's "accident" was unnervingly powerful. I'm kind of amazed at the emotional heft you managed in those scenes, because House and Chase are barely friends in this story. I don't even know if they like each other really--but what they are is kindred, wounded, biting souls. Of course, House recognizes this.
This really is an amazing story. See, I finally remembered to leave fb b/c I've started devouring your QaF stories, and now I can to read everything else you wrote!
