I have been reading all of Rizabeau's QAF stories at the Across the Pond Archive. Her stories are delightfully long. I have three favorite moments out of all her work. )

And for some reason, I have only had angsty daydreams today.

I've been rereading Violet Jone's Nowhere We Know series. I absolutely adore the premise, which is that, sometime around 3-06 or so, Brian randomly shows up at Justin's door and says - "Let's go on a road trip, right now." Justin agrees, and they ride off into the sunset, only to send a postcard to the panicking Deb a week later. Somehow, I can just picture this happening. Plus, I've become totally infatuated with the whole road trip idea. Maybe now that I've arranged for Justin to win the lottery (see previous daydreaming entries), I should have him and Brian go on a road trip. Of course, they'd have to buy a car first, since Michael disappeared with the 'vette.

Anyway, a road trip is definitely something to keep in mind for the two of them. And I think Violet should totally keep writing more - what happens when the boys get to Chicago?!?

Okay, so I'm busy converting all my friends to QAF, and I was watching 2-02 with one of them today, and I noticed that when Jennifer is over and telling Brian that she wants him to "take her son," he is fiddling around in the kitchen with some food. And what is he doing? It looks like he is making something involving bread, peanut butter, and avocados. That is the weirdest combination I have ever heard of.

But, I totally admire Morpheus for taking this tiny canon detail and adeptly weaving it into one of her stories, Therapy, where she has Justin offhandedly think that Brian is odd because he always eats peanut butter and avocado sandwiches. It's this kind of attention to detail that makes all of her work brilliant.
